2019 Market Trend Report
Halifax is currently experiencing a slight seller’s market due to low inventory levels and shorter days on the market. Despite mortgage changes in early 2018, Halifax saw strong results in both unit sales and prices, but due to multiple interest rate increases, the market has slowed slightly in the latter part of the year. Activity driven by first-time buyers and foreign buyers is expected to remain strong in 2019.
